10.4 Investigating marketing campaigns

You need to research real campaigns and draw conclusions about the effectiveness of the underlying marketing decisions. This will include how effective the campaign was, based on the following criteria:


• measuring and monitoring
• identifying the target market
• analysing the marketing processes
• constraints identifying the target market
• analysing marketing processes and constraints.

Potential companies to look at:

• Apple Computers
• Tesco
• Sainsbury’s
What I want you to do:

• Use four headings (price, product, place, promotion)
• State strengths and weaknesses of the campaign
• Write them up and post them in the comments section at the bottom of this page
