Activity in the Art rooms

9U have been very busy in their Art lessons this half term. Inspired by the work of the artist Claus Oldenberg groups of pupils have been designing and creating large sculptures of everyday objects.
Collaborative work can be difficult but 9U are obviously a great team – there were no major fall outs or groups splits! Some groups have worked in cardboard, one group have used chicken wire (- thanks to Miss Thornton for the use of her wire snips!).
The objects produced include, a lock, a key, a television, a rubik’s cube and a huge hand. Look out of these objects – they will be on display throughout the school next term.
