Dear Parents
I should like to let you know that after a lot of careful consideration I have decided to bring what has been a long career at Christ’s College Finchley to a close at the end of the Summer Term. Hopefully you will appreciate just how difficult making this decision will have been. Come the end of August I will have spent 33 years in the school – most of my working life.
I am pleased to be able to say that over the last few years we have made excellent progress and that the school is strong as a result. The forthcoming building project and gradual expansion herald the start of a new phase in the school’s development, placing it in an excellent position to face the challenges of the future. I think the time is therefore right for me to hand the leadership on to a new administration.
An announcement at this stage gives Governors plenty of time to undertake a thorough recruitment process and for me to ensure a high quality replacement is properly prepared to lead the school from September 2013. I should like to reassure you that maximum effort will be going into making sure this is the case, and that in the meantime the school will proceed as effectively as ever. I shall be working extremely hard in the time that remains to ensure that CCF is in the very best position to succeed.
It has been an enormous privilege for me to lead CCF during an unprecedented period of change and development. I regard myself as being extraordinarily fortunate to have spent the bulk of my teaching career at such a unique and wonderful school and with such great young people.
The support I have received from Parents has been an important feature of my tenure as Head. Between now and the end of August I hope to be able to speak to as many of you as possible to express my thanks. In the meantime I should like to thank you now for the support you have given me in leading and managing the school.

I can’t believe Mr.Tucker is leaving CCF.. He’s been the driving inspiration to me and my peers! He has truly transformed the school these past 6 years into the Christ’s College that is so famous around the borough. I’m going to make sure he gets a goodbye that he deserves. Plenty of presents and thank you cards and of course A well deserved Party.
I Will Miss you Sir and so will everyone else.
I am very shocked and upset about this new’s it’s not so long that i have started in this school, but its been a privilege to have Mr Tucker as my Head Teacher.He is a very hard working man and CCF is one of the most successful school and Sixth form it’s such a shame that his leaving. But we all wish you a very best luck in your future and we all can’t thank you enough for all the hard work you have put to make CCF the way it is now. Thank you so much sir.
